He was born on the 21st day of September year 1992. Member of the Korean Boy group EXO. One of Korea's angel voices.

Member of EXO M which promotes the group in China. As early as the group's debut, the fans didn't really set their eyes on Chen (Stage name). Being a Korean citizen bought him to the point where Chinese fans tell him that he shouldn't be in the M group because he's not good in Chinese. After having such comments, he practiced Chinese and proved the fans wrong.

Chen has been called with several codenames right after the groups debut. He was called EXO's Troll King because he is always joking around and always playing pranks on the other members, together with EXO's Happy Virus, Chanyeol and EXO's Diva, Baekhyun. Chen was also called CHENsing Machine because he was not really good at dancing.

Fans don't usually see Chen as first but they slowly like him when they get to know the group. Early 2014 when Chen was recruited as one of the singers for SM Entertainment's album named S.M the Ballad where Chen had the chance to sing with Shinee's Leader, Junghyun and one of SM's Solo artist Liyin. After having a separate album with the group, Chen's popularity rose a little. But he doesn't really brag about number of fans.

Late 2014 when Chen had his first single Best Luck which is the Original Sound Track for "It's Okay, It's Love" where DO, also EXO's member, was one of the castings. The song won the award for the best OST for 2014, thanks to the fans who voted and supported Chen.

But not all good things came to him and to the whole group. Injuries, bashers, dating issues and lawsuit issues were on their way.

Members always gets injuries, some injuries doesn't heal easily. They handle their bashers well though. Dating issues were just made to cover up other of the Entertainment's issues. But Lawsuit Issues were not that easy. April 2014, right after their comeback, "Overdose", and before their first solo concert; Kris, EXO M's Leader filed a lawsuit to the Entertainment. It was not easy for the group to adjust fast because they were shocked too. Even though the group had the issue, they still continued their concert but before they could finish their world tour, The Lost Planet, another member filed a lawsuit against the Entertainment, it was October 2014 and the member who left after Kris was Luhan. Fans had two heart break in just one year, and some tried to stop supporting the group.

But after resting for about a year, the group made their comeback last March 2015 with 'EXODUS' and their latest comeback 'Love Me Right' last June. They worked harder to prove the fans that they are alot more better. It was enough for the fans to come back and support the group again. But in the middle of Love me Right promotions, another lawsuit issue was released and just this August another member left, Tao.

Now, every member has their own racket to boost the group's popularity. Chanyeol and Baekhyun is now having guesting on some Korean shows. Lay on the other hand is promoting the group in China.

And now, Chen has a role in a Musical named "In the Heights" as Benny. Having a different personality from Benny, Chen is working hard on practicing his acting skills together while his leading lady.
