When people talk about unconditional
love, we usually think of God, but given the fact that God is God and nothing
can change that, who else can offer us unconditional love? It’s our parents.
They are always the one willing to sacrifice everything just to make us happy.
But how can our parents show their love if unexpected turn of events takes
place? Like this story I’m about to tell.
A woman saw this man sitting alone at the back part of the bus while on
her way home. He is holding a gallon of ice cream and he looks so worried.
After some time, while being stuck in a traffic jam, this man brought out a
spoon and started eating the ice cream. He asked the woman if she want some of
it but the woman refused and then she heard him say, “It was my daughter’s
birthday last Thursday and I just got my salary, but I guess, this ice cream
won’t make it.”
If you’re a commuter and you happen to cross EDSA everyday of your life,
there’s no way you hadn’t experience this traffic jam caused by the Iglesia Ni
Cristo rally. Lesson learned in this story, people should always think about
how a simple thing they do affects each and everyone around them. Some of us
just thinks of how we can win our life’s battle, but who’s going to be there
for those people who knows nothing about your belief? Those people who chose
not to interfere yet suffers the consequences of what you did? We should think
not only for our sakes but for the others’ welfare as well.
